Removing an Existing Driveway and Repaving It
- Step 1: Our professionals will remove your
existing asphalt.
- Step 2: We will inspect the sub-base for soft
spots or other problems. If any soft spots are detected, we will
excavate, as necessary.
- Step 3: We will rebuild the foundation using
new gravel, grading it to create drainage away from the house, and
compacting it with a large roller with vibrating drums.
- Step 4: At a later date (once the sub-base is
solid), we will pave the driveway. A mechanical asphalt spreader is
used to lay a Highway Mix asphalt. A vibrating roller is used once
again to compact the asphalt, and in 4 to 5 days, your driveway can
be driven on.
