 A1 Superior Paving offers Thunder ay's top commercial paving
services. We provide full paving and maintenance services to
shopping centres, institutions, service stations, hospitals, truck
terminals, and more. Our experience includes small to large-scale
parking lots, laneways, and roadways.
The commercial paving process differs from the residential
paving process, as commercial parking lots need to accommodate a
heavy traffic flow. At A1 Superior Paving, we employ the highest
standards, meeting and exceeding our customers expectations.
Furthermore, all of our paving procedures and equipment meet

Parking Lots, Shopping Centres, Institutions, Roadways,
Laneways, Service Stations, Truck Terminals, etc.
- Step 1: We will first remove and dispose of
any existing asphalt.
- Step 2: Next we will fully inspect the area
for any soft spots, potholes, etc. If there are any, we will
excavate these areas and remove off site.
- Step 3: Will will start on the new sub-base
foundation by adding new 3/4 crushed stone, fully compacting it
with heavy duty rollers.
- Step 4: Next, we will add another topping of
3/4 crushed stone over the entire parking area, to be graded and
compacted.
- Step 5: We will stake out the elevations to
ensure 100% water flow. We want to maintain good drainage and to
prevent any water ponding.
- Step 6: We will now start the paving process
by applying a base coat of 4" heavy duty asphalt (made of a heavy
stone type).
- Step 7: We will spray an Asphalt Glue (bonding
agent) to the base coat surface. This will help ensure a good bond
when the top coat is applied, limiting movement, and causing less
stretching of the asphalt, which will result in less cracking and a
longer lasting paved area.
- Step 8: We will then pave the final coat with
a commercial surface mix asphalt.

Parking Lot and Roadway Resurfacing
- Step 1: We will first address any uneven areas
or potholes, by patch paving the low areas, and by grinding or saw
cutting the high areas. This will result in a smooth surface.
- Step 2: We will power clean the entire surface
prior to resurfacing. This will help to remove all loose dirt and
other debris.
- Step 3: Once the surface is completely dry, we
will apply an Asphalt Glue (or bonding agent) to aid in asphalt
bonding. This step will mean less cracking and stretching of the
asphalt.
- Step 4: We will now resurface the pavement
using a roadway surface mix, which is ideal for commercial
areas.
